Finance the truck, not the sticker

The purchase price is only the start; the term and rate decide what the truck actually costs you. Seeing the monthly payment next to the total interest makes the trade-off obvious — a longer term eases cash flow but pays for the truck more than once in interest.

Pair the payment with the fuel-cost, maintenance, and depreciation tools to build a true cost-per-mile before you commit, then confirm the terms with your lender.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How is the monthly payment calculated?

It uses the standard amortization formula: payment = P·r / (1 − (1 + r)^−n), where P is the amount financed, r is the monthly rate (APR ÷ 12), and n is the number of months. The amount financed is the price minus your down payment and any trade-in.

How much interest will I pay in total?

Total interest is the sum of every payment minus the amount financed. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but raises total interest, while a bigger down payment or trade-in reduces both the payment and the interest by shrinking the balance you finance.

Does this include tax and fees?

No. The calculator works from the financed amount you enter, so add sales tax, documentation, title, and any lender fees into the price (or finance them separately) if you want them reflected. The amortization snapshot shows how each payment splits between interest and principal.

Is this the exact figure my lender will use?

It is a general estimate. Real financing terms — rate, fees, compounding, and any balloon or seasonal-payment structure common in equipment finance — vary by lender and credit. Confirm the exact numbers with your finance provider before signing; this is not professional financial advice.
