The Ghanaian logistics and transportation industry is about to get a major boost with the arrival of Sinotruk Howo Max heavy-duty trucks from Fet Auto, a leading company in the manufacture and distribution of automotive parts and components. The launch of these premium heavy-duty trucks was marked with a ceremony in Agenccra, where Fet Auto Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yifeng Zhang expressed his excitement about the launch, saying that since its establishment in 2006, Fet Auto had stayed true to delivering machinery and equipment deeply rooted in the original intention of the market.

Unveiling

Speaking at the event, Mr. Zhang expressed his excitement about the launch, saying that since its establishment in 2006, Fet Auto had stayed true to delivering machinery and equipment deeply rooted in the original intention of the market. Fet Auto, he said, only built and operated at five stations, namely Accra, Kumasi, Tema, Kasoa and Takoradi, but had also set up sales companies in Sierra Leone and Guinea, with more than 800 core customers and an annual supply of nearly 1,000 sets of heavy truck equipment. “From mines to ports, from roads to construction sites, Sinotruk vehicles sold by us have become an indispensable ‘steel force’ in Ghana’s infrastructure construction. “We have 18 years of experience in localisation management, built a full life cycle service system covering pre-sale, sale and after-sales and won the reputation of a trusted partner of Ghana customers,” Mr. Zhang said.

Howo Max

The Group CEO said the Howo Max had been intelligently upgraded, equipped with an intelligent driver assistance system and remote diagnosis technology, making transportation safer and maintenance more efficient. “The Howo Max is not only the crystallisation of technology, but also our solemn commitment to help Ghana upgrade infrastructure, speed up logistics, energy saving and efficiency,” he said. Fet Auto, he said, would use Howo Max’s entry into the Ghana market as an opportunity to implement three core strategies.

Key Strategies

• Deepening localised services
• Adding two service centres in 2025
• Achieving a “rapid response of 50 kilometres radius
• Promoting technology empowerment
• Joining hands with Sinotruk to carry out customer training programmes to train more than 100 local African technical talents for customers every year
Fet Auto would create a sustainable development ecology and build a Ghana transport solutions alliance with partners to achieve results to ensure a win-win value. “We firmly believe that with the strong support of Sinotruk and the trust of Ghanaian customers, Howo Max will surely become the golden engine to promote Ghana’s economic development,” Mr. Zhang added.

Industry Experts

The Fet Auto Marketing Officer, Jason Lee, expressed gratitude to the Sinotruk Group for its comprehensive support in technology upgrading, product supply and after-sales service over the years, adding that “it is this close cooperation that allows us to continue to provide our customers in Ghana with a one-stop solution of product and service”. As a leader in the global heavy truck industry, Jason Lee said Sinotruk’s products had become the backbone of Ghana’s infrastructure construction with characteristics such as strong reliability, strong adaptability and high cost performance.

It further incorporates advanced safety technologies such as anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic stability control, which are essential for safe driving on Ghana’s varied road conditions.
